smartsignify is a free, privacy-first PDF editor that runs entirely in your browser. Open a PDF, add text, signatures, dates and checkboxes, and download the finished file — no account, no installation, no upload.

We built it because we kept running into the same problem: most PDF tools ask you to upload your file to their server before you can do anything with it. That file might be a lease, a contract, or a medical form — documents you shouldn't have to hand to a stranger just to fill in a box. So we made a tool where the file never leaves your device. Everything happens locally, in your browser, and we never see a single page.

smartsignify is for anyone doing everyday paperwork: freelancers signing contracts, tenants initialing leases, teachers marking up worksheets, small businesses filling forms, and job applicants completing applications. If you've ever printed a PDF just to sign it and scan it back, this is for you.
